If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your notes are synced as Markdown files through Apple's iCloud Drive infrastructure. This sync is:
Bruin does not operate any sync servers. The sync happens directly between your devices via iCloud.
Bruin's semantic search feature uses a machine learning model (all-MiniLM-L6-v2) that runs entirely on your device. No note content is sent to external AI services for embedding computation.
When you connect external AI agents via the MCP (Model Context Protocol), those agents may process your note content according to their own privacy policies. Bruin itself does not send data to any AI service.
If you configure webhooks, Bruin will send event notifications to the URLs you specify. This is entirely under your control — no webhook data is sent unless you explicitly configure it.

Bruin Notes contains no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising frameworks. The only external service interaction is Apple's iCloud, which is optional.
Bruin Notes does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not collect information from any user.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Since Bruin does not collect any contact information, we cannot notify users directly of changes.
